About The Gay Agenda Collective

The Gay Agenda Collective (also known as TGA) is a Queer, Kanaka-owned and operated wedding & event planning business in Hawaiʻi. Although gay weddings became legal in 2015, there is still a lack of representation for LGBTQ+ couples in the wedding and event industry.

TGA was formed out of a personal experience that Zabrina (our owner) had while planning her own wedding. In the midst of planning, Zabs still faced vendors misgendering her and her partner, having to come out to all their vendors, being the token queer couple for vendor portfolios, and even worse — vendors saying they wouldn’t work with them. We decided, enough was enough!

TGA specializes in creating space for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies in the wedding and event industry through thoughtful planning, so that they feel included, represented, and celebrated. Our hope is that no couple will ever experience the lack of love on their wedding day, while creating space for all couples. We are a full service wedding and event planning company assisting clients wherever they are in the planning process. We also offer allyship and inclusivity training for event professionals to create a more well-rounded industry built on diversity and equity.

The Gay Agenda Collective is owned and operated by an all LGBTQIA+ Wahine Staff. It's special for Zabrina to work with her now wife, Ipolani to bring other couples wedding days to life! It is the importance of our entire team to make sure your day runs smoothly and that we are having fun while doing so!

CLIENT LOVE NOTES

Where do I begin with such an amazing team!? The most selfless, understanding, and brilliant event planner! There were many factors that played into our day being as perfect as it was. And TGAC was a significant pillar to this. From jotting ideas, to pre-planning, sifting our must-haves, to the day of our wedding and all of the above... Zabrina & her team were attentive, provided and communicated with vendors, created timelines for us, included visual reception layout options and so much more! When it comes to planning your wedding, there are so many random small things that come up; especially on the day of. Zabrina, Ipo & the whole team at TGAC genuinely and naturally know how to make sure any event you book with them is the most smooth, stress-free day. So grateful for them and we continue to refer and support this awesome local company!
